This Policy explains how long AdPilot AI retains different categories of data. Retention periods are designed to balance product utility, legal obligations and user privacy. Read this together with our Privacy Policy and Account Deletion Policy.
1. Retention principles
- We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
- Where data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it.
- Retention periods may be extended where required to respond to legal claims, regulatory requests, or to resolve disputes.
2. Retention periods by category
- Active account data (profile, settings, brand kits): retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Uploaded product images and reference assets: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion or earlier upon explicit deletion from the library.
- Generated images and copy: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Generation request logs (prompt, model, latency, status): retained for up to 90 days for quality, abuse detection and debugging.
- Authentication and security audit logs: retained for up to 365 days.
- Rate-limit counters: retained for up to 2 days rolling.
- Webhook event records: retained for up to 90 days.
- Invoices, payment receipts and tax records: retained for up to 8 years to comply with Indian tax and accounting laws.
- Support correspondence: retained for up to 3 years after the last interaction.
- Backups: encrypted backups are retained for up to 35 days on a rolling basis.
- Suspension / abuse records: retained for as long as necessary to enforce our policies and applicable law.
3. Aggregated and anonymized data
We may retain aggregated or anonymized data that does not identify any individual for longer periods to operate, analyze and improve the Service.
4. Legal hold
Where data is subject to a legal hold (e.g. due to litigation or regulatory investigation), we will retain it for as long as required, after which standard retention applies.
5. Changes
We may update retention periods to reflect changes in law, product features or operational needs. Material changes will be notified in this Policy.
